Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American singer and performer who made her name with witty lyrics that explored racial and sexual identities from a boldly comic perspective. Then she moved on into Hollywood. The actress was born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean parents who immigrated to Forest Hills Queens her first musical experience came in the form of the trumpet. Additionally, she was given instruction in jazz and classical before when she began to explore hip-hop as a teenager. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism, and women's studies. She even doing Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. Her focus was not on music until she graduated. Her track My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity across the Internet in 2012. It would later be included on her debut album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The other viral hit songs included queef, a body positive track, and the witty NYC Bitchecity tour. This latter song was directly associated with Awkwafina's NYC, a 2015 travel guide. Once she had established herself as a performer and author, she was able to accept the roles of actor. Alongside early TV shows such as Girl Code and Tawk she appeared in films such as Neighbors 2, Storks and Bad Rap. Her breakthrough came in the year 2018 when she appeared in a number of high profile films, including Dude Ocean's Eight and Crazy Rich Asians. Her debut EP, in Fina We Trust in June in the same year.
